On Saturday 20th September, the team at Hog Roast Tidworth will be firing up the roasters for a truly unique event—a Hot Fuzz-themed evening at The Queen’s Royal Hussars Officers Mess in Assaye Barracks. Catering Manager Jack and his team are preparing to serve 150 guests a feast that blends hearty classics with themed fun, ensuring the night is every bit as memorable as the iconic film.
Taking centre stage will be a whole roasted pig, slow-cooked to perfection so the meat is juicy, tender, and full of flavour, with golden crackling that’s guaranteed to be the highlight of the night. Guests can enjoy their hog roast alongside traditional accompaniments of sage and onion stuffing, tangy apple sauce, and freshly baked bread rolls and wraps, including gluten-free options for those who need them.
To balance the richness of the hog, the menu also includes a selection of sides designed to please every palate. Crisp mixed salad and creamy gourmet coleslaw will bring freshness to the table, while chips will provide the ultimate comfort food pairing for a relaxed, sociable dining experience.
For guests looking for something a little different, we’ll also be serving burgers with all the trimmings—juicy patties with melted cheese and fried onions, hot off the 
grill and straight into hungry hands. It’s the perfect option for those who want to grab a bite and head straight back to the action of the evening.
Of course, we haven’t forgotten our vegetarian and vegan guests. Our popular grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (served without halloumi for vegans) will be available, complemented by wraps, a cooling tzatziki dip, and a sweet and spicy chilli sauce. This ensures everyone has a chance to enjoy the feast, no matter their preferences.
All food will be served onto eco-friendly wooden disposable crockery with matching cutlery, keeping things stylish and practical for such a lively themed celebration.
